Week One - Scriptures

Good Day Everyone!

This week we’re looking at cleaning our natural and spiritual heart.  God is such an awesome God to give us this opportunity to lay our hearts out before him and do a spiritual check to see if we’re in compliance with His Word.

THE NATURAL HUMAN HEART

The heart is one of the most important organs in the entire human body. It is really nothing more than a pump, composed of muscle which pumps blood throughout the body.

FACTS ABOUT THE HEART:

·         It beats approximately 72 times per minute

·         It pumps the blood, which carries all the vital materials which help our bodies function and removes the waste products that we do not need.

·         The brain requires oxygen and glucose, which, if not received continuously, will cause it to loose consciousness and the heart, helps with that…..

·         Muscles need oxygen, glucose and amino acids, as well as the proper ratio of sodium, calcium and potassium salts in order to contract normally.

·         The glands need sufficient supplies of raw materials from which to manufacture the specific secretions. …..so….If the heart ever ceases to pump blood the body begins to shut down and after a very short period of time will die.

·         The heart works on the "All -or-Nothing Law". That is, each time the heart contracts it does so with all its force.

NOW TAKE THIS AND LOOK AT YOUR HEART SPIRITUALLY!!! WOW

Day One

Psalm 51 - (AMP)

1   Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to the multitude of your tender mercy and loving-kindness blot out my transgressions.
2   Wash me thoroughly [and repeatedly] from my iniquity and guilt and cleanse me and make me wholly pure from my sin!
3   For I am conscious of my transgressions and I acknowledge them; my sin is ever before me.
4   Against You, You only, have I sinned and done that which is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified in Your sentence and faultless in Your judgment.
5  Behold, I was brought forth in [a state of] iniquity; my mother was sinful who conceived
me [and I too am sinful].
6  Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart.
7  Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean [ceremonially]; wash me, and I shall [in reality] be whiter than snow.
8  Make me to hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; let the bones which You have broken rejoice.
9  Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my guilt and iniquities.

10  Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.
11  Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.

12  Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

13  Then will I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted and return to You.
14  Deliver me from bloodguiltiness and death, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness (Your rightness and Your justice).
15  O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

16  For You delight not in sacrifice, or else would I give it; You find no pleasure in burnt offering.
17  My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise.
18  Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

19  Then will You delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, justice, and right, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering; then bullocks will be offered upon Your altar.

Day Two

Hebrews 10:22 (KJV)

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Joel 2:12-13 (AMP)

12 Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored].

13 Rend your hearts and not your garments and return to the Lord, your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness; and He revokes His sentence of evil [when His conditions are met].

Day Three

Proverbs 3:5

AMP - Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not
rely on your own insight or understanding

KJV - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Matthew 22:37 - KJV

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Psalm 66:18

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Day Four

Psalm 37:4 - AMP

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

Psalm 139:23-24 (AMP)

23 Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!

24 And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Day Five

Ezekiel 36:26-29 (AMP)

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

Proverbs 4:23 - AMP

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Day Six

Jeremiah 17:9-10 (AMP)

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]?

10 I the Lord search the mind, I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

1 Peter 3:4

AMP - But let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious or wrought up, but] is very precious in the sight of God.

KJV - But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Day Seven

Ephesians 5:26

KJV

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

(AMP) –verse 27

That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].

1 Samuel 16:7 (AMP)

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
